Pine Valley

We used to go camping every Memorial Day.  We have missed the last few years and we were so excited to go again this year.  We go to Pine Valley, Utah.  It is about a half hour north of St. George.  This year my Mom and Dad came along and do did Scotty, Beth and Ava.  It was beautiful the first day but the rest of the time it was freezing.  We managed to stay warm and we still had a lot of fun.
Three little fisher girls ready to catch some fish.
waiting for the big one
showing Grandad how to do it the right way
I think I will try this all by myself
I think Cameron had at least one pretzel in his hand the entire weekend.
Grammy helped us to make this little rag dolls.  We LOVE them.
We took a little drive into Pine Valley to visit Smokey the Bear.  My girls were hoping for more of a Yogi type bear but we settled for the non-speaking bear.
You can't go camping without making S'mores.  Notice the sunburn...I get mother of the year props for that one.
Hovering by the fire.  It was nice to relax and visit by the fire.  It took about three showers to get the smell out of my hair.  I love that smell.
Grandad was sure to scare away any wild animals.
We roasted (burned) marshmallow after marshmallow and then we roasted some starburst.
It actually hailed and we woke up to a few inches of snow.  The snow pictures didn't turn out so great. This hail picture of my brother's dog, Tanis will have to do.
The kids slept great which makes a camping trip much more enjoyable.  We were actually wondering if Lauryn was ever going to wake up.
The cold weather didn't deter the badmitton faithfuls.  Game on!
Cameron was in heaven on his bike.  He rode it all over the place.  The first night we got there he took off on his bike looking for his friend.  He was gone for a while and well past dark.  I was a wreck.  We got the ranger involved and just as they were getting on the radio for help Dave found him.  He was all the way on the other side of the Lake.  We quickly set up some rules and boundaries.
snuggling to stay warm in Grammy and Grandad's trailer.  We love our family and we love spending time with them.
