Somehow my girls have turned five years old. I am not sure how it happened but one day they are four pound babies in the NICU and the next day they are headed to preschool. I am so in love with these little girls. They are a blessing to us. We prayed and prayed for them but no one prayed harder than Cameron and they have made all of our lives better. Cameron couldn't stop hugging them yesterday. They were actually getting a little irritated by it. He can't win.
Clara is two minutes younger than Lauryn. The doctor told me those two minutes would be crucial. Yes Lauryn already pulls the "I am older than you" card but Clara comes back with a "I am bigger than you". It all works out in the end. Clara is super social. Everywhere we go (the grocery store, the park, a public bathroom) She is trying to make friends. She is very thoughtful and kind. She wants everyone to be happy. She is very compliant most of the time but when she digs her heels in you can forget about a compromise. She is one stubborn little lady. However, she is good to apologize and give a big hug. This girl has discovered soccer and loves to steal the ball so she can score goals. Dave is pretty happy about that development. She is truly a ray of sunshine in our lives. Lauryn is my fireball. Her brain and her body never stop. I wish I could bottle her up. She has a very active mind and I find myself mostly just trying to keep up. She loves to paint and color. She is always moving. She loves to snuggle up and can weasel her way into any tiny little space that might be open next to you. Then she continues to wiggle until you are better off on the floor. She loves her daddy and will often pick out a treat at the store because she knows it is one her daddy will love. Lauryn spends quality time in time out mostly because she is very independent and refuses to wait for help. She is a very good dish washer. (unfortunately the entire kitchen ends up a little swampy by the time she is done) She loves gymnastics and catches on very quickly. Her teacher tried to get me to put her in the three days a week three hours a day class. I said "NO". Lauryn has a smile that takes away all the worries of the world.
The girls were super excited about their new dress ups.
blowing out their coach cake. I wish I could say I a made it but thankfully I have a very talented friend.
Lauryn smacking the Flynn Rider pinata with a frying pan. The kids loved this.
