Columbia part 2 - the zoo

Columbia has an amazing zoo.  Since Las Vegas has a pitiful little zoo we try to visit the zoo anytime we are near a reputable one.

The girls love feeding these birds.  The birds are loud and they fly all over the place and they fly all over anyone holding nectar.  Cameron has always been to nervous to do this but today...
He couldn't get enough of these birds. In fact...he stayed in there for so long that his sweatshirt was covered in poop.  He refused to wear it and since it was about 40 degrees outside I had to go buy him a new one.  It was OK though.  It will make a great souvenir from our trip.

It was pretty cold outside so we took some extra time warming up in the bathroom.
Clara has been waiting this whole trip to ride a horse.  Check out that smile.  She really wants to ride one fast.  She seemed pretty satisfied with the little jaunt on the trail.  I think she even wore her black boots just so she would be ready to go riding.
Lauryn has been waiting all day to feed the Giraffes.  They did not disappoint.  She was a happy little girl.
We are loving our time with cousins.  Cute little ladies.
 Back to the birds.
So my niece is terrified of these birds.  She goes to the zoo almost every week and WILL NOT go near these birds.  But...Look what a little peer pressure can do.

I love this picture.  She is in bird heaven.
And this is how Jalen spent the afternoon at the zoo.  I would have love to have traded him places.  He looks so cozy.
We were sad to see the day come to an end.
