We decided to make one last dash to the beach beore school started. We went to the American girl doll store, the Griffith observatory, we saw the hollywood walk of fame, a Dodger game and the beach. It was a great time. I wanted to do some of the things we don't normally do when we go to SoCal and we loved it.
Lauryn is determined to save "Hagrid's house"
The kids started school. Cameron in 8th, Lauryn and Clara in 3rd. This year I started an internship and went to school with them. I will save the details of that for another post. Life was crazy and insane and I am grateful for these three little troopers who had to take care of themselves.
Lauryn and Clara turned nine years old. Lauryn got a pink kayak and Clara got a balance beam.
Lauryn started gymnastics at Vitally Scherbo
Clara started competing. She loves it and works very hard.
Lauryn participated in solo ensembles at UNLV. The moms helped out. Since I don't play the piano I got to be a prop.
Lauryn and Clara were Lucy and Susan Pevensie from the lion the witch and the wardrobe for Haloween.
Robbie left for Mexico the next day to serve as a missionary. We will miss him like crazy.
I told Cameron he couldn't trick or treat without a costume so he dressed up like this.
These four little cuties played the piano at Opportunity Village.
We started a new Christmas Eve tradition to go to Red Rock canyon and read Luke 2 instead of doing it on Christmas eve. It was freezing but it was a great experience to go somewhere with no distractions.
Christmas morning. Christmas fell on Sunday so we opened our stockings and then went to church.
The day after Christmas we headed to Utah. There was plenty of snow for sledding. Kids don't seem to care how cold it is. They wanted to go sledding every day several times a day.
The highlight of the entire holiday season was when little Rowan was born. We got to see her when she was just about an hour old.
Cameron was smitten
but I am determined to be her favorite.
