fall of 2017

The girls have been studying Greek mythology at school.  They were going to be Medusa and Athena for Halloween.  We thought it would be fun to add Hercules to the mix.  Then we added Zeus and Hera.
The only problem was the Zeus looked like he was trying to be God instead of a Greek God.
Our community dedicated this bench with 58 stars leading up to it.  Each star is for each of the victims.  I think it is nice that our community did something to try to honor and remember those who lost their lives on that awful night.   I hope I can teach my kids to be kind and to make a difference in their communities.  I hope they will have faith in mankind as well.  The world is a crazy place.  Social media doesn't help with this.  Seeing all the news can be terrifying. I just want my kids to live life without fear and to trust their Heavenly Father.  The other day Cameron told me that he gets nervous every time the announcement speaker comes on at school.  He is always afraid that they are going to be announcing a shooting at his school.  I can't believe that this is the type of fear that my kids are faced with.
