seattle

Every year we take a family vacation to see a BYU football game.  We try to plan for places that are fun or that we have never been to or that just have a lot of football history.  This year we chose to go to the game in Washington.  We knew BYU had very little chance of winning but Seattle sounded great.  Seattle did not disappoint.  The weather was perfect.  Total sunshine every day.  It rained a little during the game and then on Sunday but we were just taking a ferry to Bainbridge Island and driving around so rain was actually perfect.
We started at the Space Needle.
The glass floor is amazing.  It was a little freaky at first but we loved walking around and finding different way to take pictures.
I was even a little nervous to lean against the glass wall

I promise Cameron was with us and

Cameron was pretty nervous at first but then he got in on all the fun.  He had some new material for social media.
I love this little family of mine.  They are my favorite people to travel with.
We also visited the stain glass gallery.  I would have skipped this but I read somewhere that it was a must see.  It was amazing.  There are some very talented people in our world.

We went and found the troll under the bridge

Lauryn helped him out by picking his enormous nose.

It really was a bizarre site to see this huge troll just carved out under this bridge.

We drove to see the Seattle temple.  It was under construction.  We are hitting all these temples that are under construction.
Of course we found Cameron some golf courses.  I have no idea where these are or what they are called but I am sure Cameron could tell you.
We took an underground tour of Seattle.  It was so interesting to learn about how the city was settled and how it has evolved.  The tour contained lots of information about poop so the kids were entertained.
We went shopping and ate at Pikes market.  We loved watching the fish throwers but I only got video of that.  We ate donuts and mac and cheese.  It was super crowded but I think Pikes Market is pretty much always crowded.

We put our gum on the bubble gum wall.  Totally gross but also kind of cool.

It took about 5,000 tries to get both bubbles blown at the same time.
When in the Pacific Northwest you must take a picture with a totem pole
The only bad part of the trip was the game.  We kind of planned in this so we survived.  It was nothing a good hot dog and some hot chocolate couldn't[ fix.
This is how Lauryn enjoys her football games.  Seriously...this kid always has a book.
No one will share a bed with Cameron anymore.  I wonder why.  We have to get a hotel room with three beds.  How he sleeps this way is a mystery to me.
We drove over to a little island to look around and play in the water.
The water was cold but the kids were still mad that I didn't tell them to bring their swimming suits.
On Sunday we went to church and then took a ferry to Bainbridge Island and then drove around to Tacoma before we caught our flight home.
 The cutest little face
We went exploring in a little town that we were sure was made for a Hallmark movie.
I wasn't joking.  Somewhere in this town is a lonely girl who is about to be swept off her feet by the richest most eligible bachelor in America.

These three.... I adore them.  They love to visit and see new things.  They get along great when we travel as long as Cameron has his own bed and the car is big enough for some leg room.  (:
