On new years day we went ice skating. It was a treat to have Dad home for work so he could play with us. Usually we travel to see family for the holidays. This year we chose to stay home but Dave still took the time off. It was so much fun to spend time together without any plans or schedules.

We stopped in at the Golden Knights practice. Clara about fainted when she finally got Fleury to wave at her.
Dave and I went to a game. I love that there are people at his work who want to impress him so they give him awesome tickets to hockey games.
We went to the aquarium to see the sloth. So adorable.
We also hit up the pinball hall of fame. The kids loved all these old games. This was on our bucket list and we will definitely be going back.
early morning seminary is brutal.
but we are rewarded with some spectacular sunsets
It also happened to be the same hotel that the BYU basketball team was staying in. They offered us tickets to the game but I had already purchased tickets to see Harry Potter the cursed child play and those tickets were not cheap. It was a tough choice but we chose to see the play. It was a good choice because BYU lost and the play was amazing.
The last time we were in San Francisco the tickets to Alcatraz sold out. We were bummed about that so we fit in a trip over to see it this time. Dave and I had both been there before. The kids thought it was really interesting.
Sunday morning waiting for our ride on the trolley to church. A pretty cool way to get to church if you ask me.
We stopped at Bob's donuts for breakfast. Donuts as big as your face.
Last time we were in San Fran it was hot and crowded. We had to wait forever to get a trolley. This time was pretty magical. It was after the Christmas rush but before spring trips. We crammed in so much fun into 48 hours.
on of our favorites (the picture wouldn't download) was while the kids and I were outside waiting for Dave to pay for dinner a gunman ran into the street. Agents surrounded him and disarmed him. There were drawn weapons and a lot of yelling. It was a little intense. Clara ran back into the restaurant and said to Dave, " DAD!!!! THERE IS CRIME!!!!" That is now an inside family joke.
Cameron was able to play church ball. He lives for church ball. Our team was a little rag tag this year but he still had a great time and he was a really great sport. Clara gave Lauryn a henna tattoo for Christmas and she finally cashed in on it.
Cameron went to Prom with Jaycee Frehner. What a couple of cuties.
We joined the King family and did the color run. It is a 5K fun run. This year they added bubbles. The girls and I did it last year and had a blast so the boys joined us this year. Cameron had a great time. This is definitely not a competitive race but it is so fun to just get outside and do something active.

Clara was the student of the month for January. Such a great kid. Lauryn was Student of the Month in March but Covid hit and she wasn't able to be awarded at school. They sent an email with the nice letter that was written by the teacher who nominated her.
hike up at red rock before everything goes crazy.
