The Beach

We just got back from our annual family vacation at the beach. This year we went to Newport. My sister in law's family has a beach house there. We had an amazing time. The beach house is about 1 block from the beach and the house backs up to the canal so there is no one behind you and we could sit on the deck and watch all the crazy birds. We went on canoe rides on the canal and had a VERY relaxing time. I had three neices and a nephew who love my kids to death so I even get a vacation. It was so great. I struggled just a little bit becasue we were so close to Disneyland and didn't go. We did go to Olvera street and a Dodger game so that was good. The kids all loved the beach. Cameron would stay there all day. He lays in the water and lets the waves rush up over him. He loves it when his Dad takes him out in the waves. The riptides were bad so he couldn't really go boogie boarding but he had fun just jumping in the water. The girls thought the sand was the greatest thing next to Cheerios. They ate it better than they eat their baby food. I am glad my kids love the beach because it is one of mine and Dave's favorite places. Thanks to Uncle Steve and Aunt Carolynn for inviting us to stay at the beach house with them.
