The month of July has been a fun ride for the Jennings family. Every July we try to spend as much time away from Las Vegas as possible. I am not a fan of the 120 degree weather. So this will be one massive blog but I am going to do my best to document all of our adventures. We were busy the entire time so sorry to those of you who I wasn't able to visit. We are still trying to figure out if we wore out Grammy or if she wore us out. It is a toss-up.
First we had a Bayles family reunion. My parents just bought some land in Soldier Summit. It is up Spanish Fork Canyon. It was beautiful. They have an amazing view and the weather was so refreshing. It rained just a little and I don't think the thermometer ever crossed the 80 degree marker. HEAVEN!!! Grammy had plenty of crafts to keep the kids busy and everyone loved being with their cousins. Thank you Grammy and Grandad for working so hard to buy such a pretty and peaceful place for us to visit. It was so nice to be away from computers and phones.
The kids made sun visors but Clara was more interested in eating hers.
After the reunion Dave headed back to Vegas to get ready for his fishing trip to Alaska (more on that later). We love playing with cousins in Grammy and Grandad's backyard. Grandad thinks Grammy is trying to compete with Walt Disney with all of her toys for the kids.
she even bought a swimming pool. Cameron is a fish so he was thrilled and spent most of the time in the water.
The girls loved the "hot tub".

This picture really has nothing to do with our trip. Lauryn just learned to do fish lips and I think it is hilarious.
One of our favorite spots in Utah is the Hogle zoo. Too bad we didn't know the Francis' were going to be there maybe we could have hooked up. Like we don't see them enough already.
Clara hates her hat!!

You gotta love those blue bubble gum flavored snow cones.

Our next stop was at the Orem Owls baseball game. These games are really fun. It is a rookie league so some of these players go on and do well in the majors. The boys really got into it. There were three home runs hit which made it very exciting.

The girls discovered Grammy's playhouse. Clara was even trying to use the sink. She probably just wanted a drink.

Uncle Scotty and Aunt Beth had everyone over for a BBQ. They even bought water toys for the kids. The girls loved the frog and Cameron is always so good to play with them. Thanks Scotty and Beth for always making us smile.
I was able to get together with two of my former roommates. I know I look like I have been drinking but I promise we are all sober. These girls are two of my favorites. We have been through some interesting times and trials together. I owe them a lot. They know why. They helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. They are one of the reasons I chose to serve a mission. I am so thankful for their strong testimonies and amazing spirits. I love you both. This is a stair full of our children. Surprisingly enough they were all very difficult to come by and are a product of fertility treatments. Thanks for modern medicine and a whole lot of faith and prayers. Without those things it would be a pretty empty staircase. What a good looking bunch of kids and what blessings they are to each of us.

One of our last activities was fishing up Provo Canyon at Vivian Park. Thanks to Grandad and Uncle Erik who kept our hooks baited and out of each others skin.

This is Lauryn in a dress that my Mom wore and then my sister wore and then I wore and now she is wearing it.
This is Clara in the same dress.
It was a long time to be away from Daddy so we sent him a message.

While we were in Utah Dave took off on a fishing trip to Alaska. He went with my Dad, his brother, Ted and Ted's in-laws Lloyd and Darren Harline. They had a blast. Thanks to the Harlines for inviting Dave and my Dad. It was a great experience and one I know they are both hoping to repeat.
The feisty fisherman.
This is Dave's second greatest catch. The first would be me of course. I am just grateful that he came home alive and with out any experiences with Bear.

Sounds like a fun July. I Love that you have that dress from your mom, and childhood and that you put your girls in it. -- Braydin came home and told us all about Dave's adventure, he is now planning for his own trip up there someday.
Wow, you need to take a break! Looks like you ran your head off. But, I know you had to have had a blast with your family!
