This weekend we took the kids to Nellis Air Force Base to see the Air show (thanks Lisa for the tip). It was amazing to see the airplanes and the things they were able to do in the air. You could look in the planes and even walk through some of them. I thought it was fascinating and I hope we will be able to attend this show in the years to come. I couldn't help but watch the service men and women on the ground and wonder what they have experienced or what lies in store for each of them. I wanted to give them each a big hug. I hope I can always teach my children to love this great country. I tried to explain to Cameron that these men and women fought to defend our rights and freedoms. It didn't take me long to realize that he cannot understand this concept (nor can I) because he knows no
difference. I am grateful to be raising my children in a country where they know nothing but freedom and opportunity. So many children are raised in fear and poverty. I love this country and I love the men and women who put their lives on the line for it. I hope we will each be more mindful of our veterans tomorrow.
