Christmas at our House

When we moved into our house 51/2 years ago the lady who lived here before us left a 12 foot tree. We put it up every year and decorate it all nice with bows and bulbs and garland. The top half anyway. The bottom half is left to the kids. I always swore I would have a real tree. Well after about three tries at keeping a tree alive in the desert, and cleaning up mountains of pine needles (One year I had to buy a new vacuum after Christmas), WE GAVE UP!!! So now it is just the fake one. It is old and takes about 2 days to put up and you have to strategically put the bows to make it look straight. We don't' care. It was free. This is how my kids decorate the Christmas tree.

Cameron decorates by posting a sign that says 'ornaments are not strong. Please be careful! Thank you!!!'

Then the girls add their finishing touches with of course their princess shoes. After all, what would a Christmas tree be without princess shoes under it?

These pictures are just a warning to any of you who might be thinking of taking your kids to McDonalds...keep them far far away from the Strawberry Shortcake stamps that come in a Happy Meal right now. Just get them the nerf toy that is for boys. Although I am sure you pay more attention to your children than I do to mine. I took the girls to the grocery store looking like this and someone actually asked me if Clara was sick.

This made me laugh. You watch your kids like the rest of us.

I love Cameron's decor. I laughed out loud. And I think Lauryn's got more going on than just stamps. It looks like marker!
