Traditions
Last year my sister in law, Dianne gave us a shoe organizer with a scripture, activity and treat for every day of December in each pocket. It was so fun and my kids loved it so I decided to make it a yearly tradition. I will admit that while I was preparing for this year I was cursing her name as I was trying to come up with activities and then the supplies for each day, but now when I watch how excited my kids get to do their activity and mostly eat a treat each day I have decided it is worth the effort. It is also a great way to use up the old Halloween candy. So today was our 'make a snowman out of a paver day' (thank heavens for Family Fun magazine). This was by far my favorite activity we have done. I also liked making Christmas trees out of hollowed out eggs but they didn't really last long enough to take a picture. Maybe next year. Back to the snowmen... The kids loved painting the bricks and of course each other and I only burned myself once with the glue gun. Unfortunately Lauryn was the only one who would pose for a picture. Yes I make my kids strip down to paint. I have at least learned this one lesson as a mother.

So cute! (Both the snowmen and Lauryn.)
Darling idea! Thanks for sharing. You need to e-mail me what else you did for your daily activities...
