One of my best memories of my long life was working at the Salt Lake Olympics with my Dad. We were able to work at two of the ice hockey venues.
While most volunteers were out parking cars my Dad and I were inside doing "athlete services". It truly was the coveted volunteer position. We got the athletes whatever they needed. We watched the games from the door that leads to the ice. We carried the official pucks to the score table. It was amazing. At one of the venues we did laundry. That might not seem so glamorous but when you hold a jersey with the letters USA in your hands for some reason you feel a sense of pride in washing that jersey. We had so many great experiences and met so many amazing people I could never share it all in one post. It is a time I will NEVER EVER forget. I think what really made it great is that I was able to experience it with my Dad.

Cameron loves to decorate and color the Olympic rings in different ways. This time it was M&Ms and then he also did one with sequins. The girls also got in on the action. Lauryn was very focused until every M&M was in its proper place. Clara was more interested in eating the M&Ms, glue and all.
We decided that watching the Olympics wasn't enough for us this year so we went up to Mt. Charleston to hit the slopes. OK so we hit the field full of snow. We had a great time. We played with the snowman that someone else had built. It was a little too icy to make our own. We were freezing in the 55 degree weather. Next time maybe we will try bobsledding.

Unfortunately, I'm watching the Olympics on tape delay. Actually it's good because I skip whatever I don't want to watch. I love it when the USA does well. Maybe Lauren was just trying to draw the Olympic rings all over her room with the blue sharpie :). Love you and wish you were closer.
