I know that haircuts and cookies don't really have anything to do with each other but that is what this blog is about. First of all Lauryn has this really wispy, tangly (is that a word?), crazy hair. I believe she gets it from me. I have to use tons of leave in conditioner just to comb through it. I am not talking about the Johnson and Johnson stuff, I am talking about the 20 dollars a bottle stuff I get at the beauty supply store. Anyway...every time I try to comb her hair it is tears and screaming and if I get a clip in it I feel that I have accomplished something tremendous. Well, I had a great idea and decided to just cut it off. Who knew that a two year old would have an opinion about her hair? LAURYN DOES!!! She was not at all happy. She kept going to the mirror and trying to flip her hair and then she would whine and whimper. So sad. That is the last time I cut her hair without her permission. Thank heavens that 2 year olds get over things in a hurry. She seems to be fine with it now.
Now on to cookies. While I was growing up it was not unusual to find our family baking cookies on a Sunday afternoon. I was usually the baker and if I really wanted something from my Dad I would even add raisins. I almost always made cookies on Sundays and always when it rained. I love it now when on Sundays Cameron always wants to make cookies and to make it even better today it is raining.

LOVE Lauryn's hair. I always like to make cookies when it rains too, but I never realized it was from when we grew up.
