christmas spirit

Cameron started piano lessons in September.  He loves it and his teacher is amazing.  She had all of her students play at Opportunity Village.  This is one of our favorite places to go at Christmas time.  It is a place that employs disabled people.  This Christmas Village is their big money maker for the year.  We go every year so it was fun for Cameron to be able to play the piano there.
We got to go visit Santa.  This was a momentous occasion for us because Clara didn't cry and for the first time I have a picture of all of my children smiling with Santa.  Cameron said to him "SANTA...I have missed you like crazy, it has been forever since I saw you last!"  So cute!
This is how we stay warm in Las Vegas
Santa also visited our ward Christmas party which was a HUGE relief to Cameron since he forgot to tell him he wanted a hamster.  Whew...
The girls in their Christmas dresses.  We got a live tree this year for the first time in a very long time.  We love it and are wondering why we didn't get a live tree for the last few years.  I am sure we will be reminded when it is dead on Christmas day and we have to remove bags full of pine needles. But for now it is beautiful.
One of our December daily activities was making donut hole snow men.  So, this is the process of making them...
This is what they look like when they are done...
And this is what they look like when they are being eaten up...

Great Santa pictures. I'm still waiting to see how it goes this year. Baylie still says she's afraid of him, so it does not bode well. I've been so busy with our Ward Christmas party, I haven't done any crafts with my kids. Bah hum bug! I'm so proud of Cameron and his piano playing. I can't wait to hear him at Christmas.
