In our stake they have a family temple day where everyone in the stake brings their children who are 12 and up and they do baptisms for the dead. It is usually done a few weeks before our stake conference. The youth are encouraged and helped to find a family name to take to the temple. I love the idea of this activity but since our children are not old enough to do baptisms I was feeling a little left out so we took them during our wards scheduled time anyway. We walked around the temple grounds and told them about their friends (babysitters) and neighbors who were inside the temple and what they were doing. It was really fun. Especially after Cameron quit pouting about not being able to listen to the ipod. We had a nice little lesson and then we took them into the atrium inside the temple. We told the girls they could find their handsome prince and get married when they were about 25. They seemed to be OK with that.
The temple is pretty bright so good thing Clara had her Strawberry Shortcake sunglasses on the WHOLE time.Families are forever. I am grateful for these three little spirits that I have the responsibility of raising. They are good little kids who try really hard to do what is right. They are at a fun age. They love to play together. They are learning to serve each other and they truly love each other. I hope they always stay this sweet and innocent. I know that someday I will wish all I was worried about was marker on the walls. I wonder what life holds for them. I hope we are preparing them well. I hope they will always know that they are children of a very loving God.
After the temple we went to eat at the Olive Garden. This is what happens when Lauryn gets hold of chocolate.
The girls were all excited to come home and roll their hair in curlers. Clara actually tried to fall asleep without laying her head down. That didn't work out so well. There is no after picture because when they woke up the next morning they were sad that their hair was "short". They took a bath and rinsed out the curls. Maybe next week.

Love Lauryn's curly hair. We have a plan to take our kids to the temple every year on their sealing day.
