riding a bike

Cameron has been less than thrilled about riding a bike.  He got his first bike from Santa about three or four years ago and it took him about two years to ride it...with the training wheels on.  As soon as Dave took the training wheels off it was all over.  He wouldn't touch it again.  We tried another bike about a year ago.  He has never ridden it.  We have tried.  There have many nights of screaming and yelling out in our cul-de-sac.  I am surprised social services hasn't made a visit during one of these battles.  For Cameron's birthday last week we decided to try one more time.  He loved the bike but refused to ride it.  So confusing.  Well, you can imagine my surprise when I was talking to my Mom on the phone the other night and I looked out my window to see Cameron doing this...
I must say my thoughts (and words) were not those of a proud mama but more of an angry and irritated mama.  I do believe that my child is THE most stubborn child on the face of the planet.  I am sure that if he would have known I was going to look out the window he wouldn't have gotten on the bike.  Now all Cameron wants to do it ride his bike and for some strange reason I still want to scream at him.  (:  Love that ornery sucker.

I don't know where he gets his strong will from. Certainly not our side of the family.
