My friend's husband just went off to Afghanistan.  Her daughter made this picture in school.

Something about this sweet little drawing captured me.  I can't quit thinking about it.  I can't imagine how difficult it is to send someone over seas to put their life on the line.  I think these children who have to say good-bye to their parents over and over are very brave.  They live a different life then most children.  I hope my friend's husband is protected while he is away and that her darling little girls feel safe and get to soon hug their Daddy again.
