spring

So the end of the year is upon us and I have a little catching up to do first...
The school did a fun run this year for a fundraiser.  Last year Cameron only did about 6 laps.  I told him I would sponsor him and then pay his school and him for however many laps he ran.  He ran ALL 36 (or 26 I can't remember how many it was) laps.  I was so proud of him.  It was hot and he had a great attitude the whole time.
Then this little girl ran ALL of the laps.
and this little girl ran almost all of the laps.  Which means that by the end of the day I was broke.  I am glad I didn't bribe the girls to run as well or we would not be eating this month.
This picture pretty much sums up Lauryn's Kindergarten experience.  She has blossomed.  No more shy reserved little Lauryn.  She has made her own friends and is queen of the castle.  She has had a great teacher who has really pulled her out of her shell.  This little girl is her BFF.  (: Oh and by the way...the little boy in the red shirt in the background wants to marry her.

We have discovered the magic of sock curls.
 We like the results
We had field day.  Unfortunately Cameron wasn't feeling well.  It was really hot and he had a headache to start the day.   We ended up leaving early.  When we got home he went straight to bed so I know he wasn't faking.

You can't go wrong when this is the guy you have for your principal.  We love this man.  He is a great leader and friend to our children.  I feel so good knowing this is the kind of guy my kids are spending the day with.
Kindergarten had its own field day.
 a little hula hoop
 and jump rope.
the kids rescued this little guy in the back yard.  They named him Alvin.  They had fed him some water and we gave him a safe place to rest and much to their dismay he flew away the next morning.
I take pictures of the girls like this when they tell me they hate being twins.
Lauryn drew this picture of Mulan for Dave because Mulan is Dave's favorite princess.
Cameron's picture was on the cover of the Review Journal.  No biggie.  We went to a 51s game on a field trip and the whole place was full of 5th graders.  Of course they had to find the cutest one.
The boys went to the Father's and Sons and so the girls got pedicures.  Lauryn was very careful about picking out her outfit.
Clara thinks she is all grown up.  I wish I could freeze time...just for a few days...

We did pedicures too! And I think your fun run was the same company as ours.
