Every year we go camping at Pine Valley in Southern Utah for Memorial Day. When Cameron was about 2 years old some friends invited us along and we have started going every year. We go with the DeLaMares, Simmons, Stokers, and now the Adairs, and the Drewes. The last two years the Nebekers have come and this year the Boghs joined us. Sometimes the Kings come. It is our goal to fill the whole campground with people we know. Grammy and Grandad come too.
we go fishing. This year they had just stocked the lake so we caught a ton of fish.Ava got to come with Grammy and Grandad this year. She was super excited. The girls were so darling and didn't have any trouble. They played hard every day and had no trouble sleeping at night.
Cameron got a fishing pole and tackle box and was super excited to fish with his own new pole.
Grandad is a great teacher (and very patient I might add)
I love camping with Lauryn because it is OK for her to look like this. When she looks like this to go to school I worry a little bit.
These kids spent all day making a house in the trees. They had a family room, a boy room, a girl room, a game room, a kitchen, etc. They played so well together.
Don't worry about forest fires. Smokey the Bear was there to keep everyone safe. Even flappy got in on the action.
These little girls never stopped going. They went on hike after hike after hike. Grammy about killed herself trying to keep up with them. I say let em wander.
instead of kissing cousins...we have kissing fish.
We told the kids if they were going to catch the fish they had to eat them too. This is the before picture.
and this is the after picture. Not so bad. The three little girls gobbled up one fish before anyone else even got a bite. They decided to bury one fish and have a funeral for it. Ava said the prayer with an "Amen. we love Jesus" to finish her prayer. Lauryn gave a talk. Something like "Lola was very kind. She was both friend and family. She will be missed by all". Clara gave the scripture which was an article of faith. To close the meeting all three sang Families Can be together forever. I was crying by the end. Literally sobbing. Unfortunately it was because I was laughing so hard. It is so much fun to be the Mom/Aunt of these three little cuties.

You did a great job with this blog. You had pictures I didn't. This was a great time and we loved ever minute of it.
I have been laughing about the funeral ever since I read it on mom's blog. Hilarious!
