SUUUUUMMMMMER

Baylie flew in and brought Aunt Kristin with her.  We took a little hike up to Red Rock Canyon.
It was really hot but it was the kids (Lauryns) idea so we went.  I think they were really just interested in the snacks.
Lauryn packed a bag.  Good thing she brought the princess tambourine and Dave's hair brush that he was looking all over for that morning.
After a few days of playing we headed to St. George to do some more playing.  We had such a great time with all of the Bayles girls.  Every single girl was there.  We went to see The Little Mermaid at the Tuachaan theatre.
The show was great but even better is the fact that my girls have amazing role models in their Grammy, Aunts and Cousins.
 a little pre show pose.
We stayed in a really nice condo.  The shower was big enough for a few of these little cuties.
We got home did laundry and headed to possible our favorite place on the planet...the beach.
Dad made reservations so we could go camping at Carlsbad State beach.  He used to do this every year as a boy with his family.  We decided this is a good idea for our family as well.
 Little beach boy
The girls have NO FEAR and can hardly wait to hit the waves.
Cameron could live at the beach.  He loves to find little critters (and then convince himself they are man eating) he loves to dig in the sand and mostly he just loves the waves.
Dad helped a little bit in the beginning but then...
These little boogie boarders were off to the races.
We climb these 105ish stairs every day.  They aren't as bad as they look.  Actually when you are seven months pregnant with twins they are brutal but on an empty uterus they are a piece of cake.
This is my happy place.  I love the warmth of the sand on my feet and the sun on my face.  I truly relax at the beach.  My family is happy.  My kids play hard and they get along great.  I read two books this time.  I just wish someone would carry all of my stuff back up the stairs.
She is the cutest little thing on the beach.  She is so tiny that she gets pushed around by the waves but don't worry about this girl...she pushes right back.
This is how Cameron pretty much spends his time at the beach.  He will lay down and let the waves roll right over his head.  We have a lot of sand in the shorts at the end of the day.
Clara's turn to show us her stuff.
I was playing around with my camera and I just love these pictures of the beautiful world God gave us.  Sometimes I get so caught up in my every day life I forget to take time to look around me.  Of course it is easy to see the beauty in our world when you are at the beach.
This is the view from the campground.  Magnificent.  I love to look at the ocean.  I have always had a love for all things dealing with the Ocean.  There is so much symbolism and so many lessons to be learned.
On the way home we visited Grandpa Carl or at least his headstone.  He is buried in a beautiful Veterans cemetery in Riverside.  It is a peaceful place.  There is a very strong and sweet spirit there. Clara asked me with tears running down her cheeks when she could meet Grandpa.  I am so grateful that I could with confidence tell her that she already knows him, she just can't remember.  That she will see him again because our Families are Eternally united through the blessings of the priesthood power that is used to seal our families in the temple.
Lauryn left her prize loom band bracelet for Grandpa.  I am sure he loved it.
