Christmas was a little rough for me this year. I felt like with the pressure of school and getting ready to remodel our house I was just going through the motions. On Christmas eve I felt a little down and felt like I had dropped the ball on making Christmas special and meaningful for my kids. The evening was windy and cold but we still had our annual firepit outside. The girls were freezing so they went in the house with Brooke and Christie Adair. After about an hour they called us in. They had been inside preparing a nativity program for us. They had song and scripture and they even made a star for the wall. It was just what I needed. I learned an important lesson from this. I had dropped the ball no December but I have not dropped the ball on teaching my kids about their Savior. They have little testimonies. They are learning the Gospel and they are developing a relationship with Jesus Christ. This year my kids saved my Christmas. They are amazing people and I love them with all of my heart.
We took the annual "on the stairs" picture.
and got photo bombed by Dad
Lauryn was super excited to add another pegasus to her playmobil collection
Clara was thrilled with her fake glasses. She wears them everyday.
Cameron got a new driver; It is interesting to have Christmas with a pre-teen. He is growing up fast.
every year we heat up the hot tub. It is fun to jump in the hot tube when the air outside is freezing cold. The kids love this and we make hot chocolate while we are soaking.
This year we went to Arizona after Christmas. The kids have a tradition of making cookies with grandma .
They love to be with their cousins.
I experimented a little with my camera. I thought some of them turned out pretty cool.
The kids love to go sledding. We took a drive up to Mount Charleston to play in the snow.
We always forget to dress warm enough.
but that doesn't stop us from having fun.
Cameron competed in the organ Junior Festival where he earned a superior with honors
To celebrate we rode the high roller ferris wheel. It was really cool to see the city from that high up.
Of course Clara had to do a back handspring in the ferris wheel.
Lauryn was most excited to go to sprinkles and get a cupcake
The girls participated in the Rogich cheer camp and then cheered at half time of a basketball game. Brooke Adair is on the chair team so it was really fun for the girls to hang out with her.
Cameron was supportive and came to watch.
the girls participated in the fun run at school.
They did a really great job and filled up their cards.
Clara just wants to make sure she beats the boys.
sweaty sisters
cooling off under the tunnel misters
Lauryn's class
We had a Valentine's party at the park
Lauryn can always be found in the sand. Here she is playing with Frannie Pesci and Hannah Brigman.
