There is something magical about snow in the desert. In February it snowed. I mean it really snowed. It snowed several days in a row and once all night long. It was so quiet and peaceful. I was surprised that the school district didn't call a snow day so I did what any responsible mother would do and called my own snow day.
We met up with some other responsible families and went sledding. This is in one of our neighborhood parks. There were so many families out having a great time.Lauryn with her good friend Josh. They have known each other since birth.

Poor Cameron had to go to school because he had two presentations. Of course neither teacher had the kids present because too many of their classmates were absent. He probably had more fun at school anyway. They had a huge snow ball fight in the quad. After school I took he and his friend Josh up to Red Rock to take some photos. It was breathtaking.
Cameron tells me the polar something is shifting which means we could get more snow in upcoming winters. I hope he is right.
