Finishing elementary school

The end of the school year brought a lot of emotions.  It was like all of us were finishing elementary school.  Piggott Academy has been a huge piece of our family journey.  We will always be grateful for the people who crossed our path and left a huge imprint on our hearts.  It isn't easy to say good-bye.  As much as you want to keep in touch it just isn't the same after you leave.

The girls had their last field day and much to their disappointment it rained.  They were very upset and were convinced that their elementary days had been ruined.

However...it didn't take long for them to see the genius of an inside field day.  They were able to play different games than they would have outside.  They had to be creative and they had a blast.

They moved to different rooms around the school and played some of their favorite games from PE.  They actually loved it and ended up having a great time.

Clara was able to play the Ukulele at the Kindergarten celebration.

This is her Clara and her friend, Michelle.
Next...the dreaded 5th grade graduation ceremony.  First I must start with some first day of school pictures.

All these little people were in our ward at this time.  I love the contrast of this first and last day of Kindergarten picture.  They are all so cute on the first day and a hot mess on the last day.  Only three of these kids are still at Piggott now.

Clara and Lauryn on their first day of elementary school...

On their last day of elementary school ....Oh my heart.

This is one of the funniest things of my parenting experience.  The contrast of Cameron's last day of elementary to the Clara's last day of elementary.  Totally different experiences.  So So funny.

Some of the greatest blessings in our lives came in the form of Mr. and Mrs.  Rogers.  He was Cameron's fourth grade teacher and then became the school counselor.  Mrs.  Rogers is the PE teacher and taught my girls how to crochet.   They love her dearly and I am sure we will keep in touch with these two.  This friend in the picture is Evan Kelleher.
This is one of the girl's favorite friends, Ella Salowski.  She just moved around the corner from us and we are so happy about that.  They will be in Jr. High together.  Whew.
These kids will not be in Jr. high together and it is breaking our hearts.  Layla Galindo, Evalina moved to Armenia and Brycen Barrett.  Such darling friends.
These are ward friends.  We will see them all the time.  Lily Coupe and Ben Childs with a special appearance by James.
Giada Sefano.  She is a gem.  We will miss her.
Another great blessing to the girls has been Mr. Boring.  He is the GATE teacher.  He finds things the kids are interested in and runs with it.  Lauryn has been in the Rubicks Cube club and Clara has been in the Ukulele club.  We love him.

Clara's teacher was Mr. Stefano.  He is Giada's dad.  He is a great man and we are blessed to have him as on of our influencers.

Lauryn's teacher was Mrs.  Mingo.  She was also Cameron's teacher.  She is incredible.  She is very strict and demands a lot from her class.  Lauryn broke right through to her heart.  She told me she had never had a student touch her the Lauryn had.
 This was a great combination.
This is our friend, Anderson Hunt.  His mom is the assistant principal and best friends with our neighbor so we will see him.
This mural is on the wall of our school.  It just needs to be in a picture.
One of our favorite humans,  Mr. Hudzick.  There are no words to describe how incredible this guy is.  He loves his kids and puts positive thoughts into their heads from day one.
He truly is remarkable and deserves all the good things in life. We will be keeping in touch with him for sure.
