The Kings have a family tradition of going bowling on New Years morning. They have started inviting a bunch of families. We love spending the morning with these fun friends.
We are so grateful for the many kids that are friends to our girls.
I'm not sure what Titan is trying to accomplish here. He does the weirdest things.
He loves laundry day. I think he loves being able to snuggle in all the clean clothes. We will have to work on a different plan for this.
I got a new car. It is a Infinit QX80. It drives super nice. I love it.
The girls started playing volleyball. There aren't many activities that have come back yet since Covid. They started academy classes at the YMCA so we signed the girls up. Clara had gone before but not Lauryn. We felt like the girls needed to get out of the house and do something active. After their classes were over one of the coaches said they needed more girls for their 18s team. Lauryn and Clara were 13 but we allowed them to play. Most of the girls were 15 and 16 but they were so nice. It was a great introduction to volleyball for them. We weren't able to go watch them in person. We had to watch online.
The theaters started opening up. It was really cheap because they were trying to get people to come. You could only come if you rented out the theater so we did. You could bring about 30 people.
It was fun for the kids to be able to do something sort of normal.
One day it snowed pretty good so we decided to go for a walk. We should have known that we would run into half the neighborhood out playing in the snow. Its such a novelty here. We love it when it snows.
One weekend Ted had business in Vegas so he brought Maren. We don't see her very much so it was super fun to have her with us. We took her to our favorite place, Pop.
Covid was boring so I took on several projects. I made this table for the back yard.
This is pretty much what school looked like in 2021. Poor Cameron. This is not how he envisioned his Senior year going .
We did lots of puzzles during Covid. We would do one and then trade with someone else.
It was a little crazy when we started going back to church. Everyone had to wear a mask and we had to sit 6 feet apart.
I joined a bookclub with Leslie. I love these girls so much. They are so much fun to be with. They are all really great friends to me and I love our monthly get togethers.
Lauryn got braces.
The cutest.
The girls had a covid anniversary party.
They played pin a mask on Donald Trump
There was a cake that looked like a roll of toilet paper

Things are getting weird with these fake eyelashes
Have you ever shown up to church and realized you are still in your slippers? I did that.
We love this dog so much. He has wrapped every single one of us around his paw. He is the cutest little guy. He is very smart and pretty well behaved. I love taking him on runs. He is a great running buddy.
He pretty much lives right here.
Cameron turned 18. This is his second birthday at home with no school or activities. I feel so bad for him. He has really struggled with the lock downs. He loves being around his friends and he has felt very isolated. I hope he is learning from these trials.
More volleyball. We were so excited when we got to go to watch the girls play in person. Its a dream come true to have our girls playing volleyball. Clara loves it but we later learned that Lauryn didn't love it so much but she grew to love it and has become very good as a setter.

For Spring Break we went to Maui. Maui had just opened back up for tourist.
The kids took surf lessons
We drove the road to Hana. This road is spectacular. There were so many places we wanted to pull over and see. We could have easily spent several days on this road.
We did find a place to jump off of a cliff.
our friends, the Hamptons gave us some great tips and we went on a really cool hike up some waterfalls
this is where we jumped
poor Cameron was a covid graduate
I cannot believe that we have reached this stage in life. We did our annual girls trip to Tuacahn.

Seminary graduation
Camerons graduation announcement.
We headed to Bear Lake for the Jennings family reunion. I was proud of myself for getting up on a wakeboard.
Cameron is on babysitting duties. This is Ammon and Marissa's little guy, Casen.
We all ran in the Bryce Canyon half marathon/5K. I ran the half marathon and everyone else did the 5K. Well....Lauryn stayed in the hotel with the dog.
My training buddy.
The kids were supposed to go to Disneyland but a week before Grammy had a stroke and the kids didn't want to go without her. We made a different plan and I took the kids to the cabin instead.
We went to cedar breaks
We went to a movie
We hiked up to a little water fall
We went in to Bryce Canyon and the kids all bought matching sweatshirts
love these kids so much
At the end of July was the Bayles family reunion. Kristin stayed home with Grammy so I went to help take care of the kids
I love my aunts and uncles. They are some of the most humble people you will ever meet. This is grandad with his brother, Lyman.
On Friday night we go to a nearby pond and go crawdad fishing.
We used to camp in tents but it was too hard to figure out the bathroom situation so now we all stay in a hotel. We had fun taking some time to swim.
On saturday night we boil the crawdads. Shawn does all the work. Lauryn outeats everyone. She loves the crawdads.
We got home just in time for girls camp. We camp at Camp Stimson. It's a very special place.
Then the dreaded day of school starting again.
last year of junior high
Quite possibly the worst day of my life was dropping Cameron off at Utah state. It is so hard to let them launch even though I know it is for the best. I just knew that once he leaves our family dynamic will never be the same. I love seeing my kids grow up but I would give anything to have them be little again just so I could snuggle them and protect them. After we dropped him off I threw up behind a shed at the gas station This was not my favorite day.

BYU finally beat Utah. Such a fun game. We called Cameron so he could celebrate with us over the phone.
For our away game this year we decided to go to the USC game. Of course we had to go to Disneyland before. We were so excited to go since it had closed for Covid.
Cameron flew in to go with us. This is one of our families favorite traditions.
Disneyland at Christmastime is magical
We had some car trouble so while Dave tried to figure it out the kids and I ubered to the beach.
It was freezing
This wingnuts didn't care
BYU won so it was a perfect trip
We waited for Cameron to come home to go to the Bellagio.
our annual polar plunge.
We babysat Toby at Christmas this year. Titan loved having a buddy to hang out with
After Christmas we went to Utah for Riley and Bailey's wedding.
All the cousins went to Salt Lake to play for a day.

Time for Zions Youth. Clara is finally able to perform with the orchestra. Nathan Pachecko was the guest performer and he was fantastic. He was so good with the kids.
