Cameron had his violin recital yesterday. I was very proud of him. There were a lot of challenges for him in this recital. First...he had to play 7 songs. That is a long time to stand up in front of people for any kid. Next...he played with a whole bunch of kids. It actually surprised me that not only did he play but he actually liked playing with the other kids. Normally the noise of that many violins would have been too overwhelming for him. The last thing was that they clapped after every piece. Clapping is very hard for Cameron. It actually hurts his ears (he has hypersensitive hearing). Anyway...he was a little champ up there. He loves playing the violin and he has really caught on. The piece that I posted on my blog of him playing is the hardest one for him to play. (I was also holding Clara at the same time so please ignore the wiggles). He has really practiced hard and improved so much since his recital in November (see November 15, violin recital. I have no idea where my archives went so you would have to go to older posts a few times). Way to go Cameron. You are awesome.
