This past week we were up in Yellowstone National Park. We had the Jennings family reunion up there. Thanks Ted and Alison for planning such a great time. My kids were in heaven with so many cousins (24?) to play with and so many fun things to do. I will have to post a slide of all the pictures. We saw so many great things.
Now...of course on the way to Yellowstone we went through Rexburg so I had to go and visit all my old stomping grounds. I don't know why I had never really told Cameron that I played basketball in college. When I told him this it was like I was a celebrity. He thought it was amazing. He loved going to go see the gym where I used to play. It was really fun for me too. I also went to visit my old apartment and Sunrise Village. AHHH the memories. I showed Dave where "RETRIX", the dance club, was. It is no longer there. Such a tragedy. (:
We also went to see the Rexburg temple. What a beautiful addition to this campus. It sits on a hill and you can see it from miles around. It was impressive and I was happy to finally see it. It doesn't matter where you are when there is a temple there is such a great feeling of peace. This temple was the same. I wish it had been there when I was at school.
Now back to the Yellowstone adventures. Cameron loved the blazing hot water and he got to play with Tylor and Ammon (both 16) which is always fun for him. They are so good to him. We saw many animals but all I wanted was to see a bear. I didn't see even 1 but of course my lucky husband saw 3. We went different directions for about 2 hours and he saw not 1, not 2, but THREE bears. I was not happy about this but found solace in the fact that I got to spend the afternoon with my nephew Tylor whom I love. I will trade three bears for an afternoon with Tylor. We saw buffalo, eagles, tons of elk, a pack of wolves (they were bedded down but they were there) and we saw 2 moose. We swam in a swimming hole twice. My little Lauryn loved this. She was mad when we left. We also swam in a boiling river where the hot water meets the cold. It was very cool. I have decided we need to spend more time in our National Parks. We live in such a beautiful country so now I am planning a trip to Glacier/ Waterton. Maybe next summer? We will see!!! I love the Jennings family and we had a great time.

Retrix gone? What a shame. Sounds like you had a fun trip!
I love the apartment picture!!! How awesome!!! What do those coeds do now that there is no where to dance! :)
I want to go to Yellowstone! I love Cameron's comment about the girl getting in trouble, Clara's upsidedown sunglasses and Lauryn's backwards binoculars. What a hoot.
I still can't get over how long your hair is.
