Many times I will get an idea (or steal one from a magazine) and try to recreate it myself. Nine times out of ten I TOTALLY fail in my attempts so when I tried to make my mantle look a little more festive for Halloween and fall I was quite pleased with the way it turned out. I went to the Salvation Army and bought this stuff and spray painted it black and then got the flowers from the dollar store so my whole project cost less than five dollars. YAY!!! Go Me!!!

I don't know why you say 9 times out of 10 you fail. You always do awesome things that amaze me. The mantle looks fantastic.
