Can you imagine how scared I was when this monster came riding up my driveway the other day?

Halloween
Halloween was interesting this year. We went to our ward trunk or treat on Saturday night. The kids got more candy than they needed. On Sunday Cameron really wanted to go trick or treating. We told him that our family wasn't going to go on Sunday. He was really good about it. It got a little harder when the neighbors were getting ready to leave. My kids went and put their costumes on and then went outside and took pictures. I thought for sure that we would have a fight on our hands. When I told the kids it was time to come inside they came right in. I was actually a little surprised at how easy it was but also very proud of my little kids. They understood why we had chosen not to trick or treat and they were happy as could be to hand out candy to kids who came to our door. Unfortunately we only had about 10 trick or treaters this year. That is what happens when Halloween falls on a long weekend (Nevada Day).
In typical boy fashion Cameron's pumpkin was throwing up.
One advantage of having a Grammy and Grandad who live in Utah and happen to have a huge garden is that they grow awesome pumpkins. They always grow a pumpkin for each of my kids since we live in the desert and can't grow our own. Here Clara nearly gets swallowed by her pumpkin.
Lauryn was determined to do it all by herself. She is this way with most everything.
This costume was all Cameron's idea. A couple of months ago he told me he wanted to be a 100 dollar bill for Halloween (he is a little obsessed with money right now). I stressed and stressed over how I was going to create this one. I gave up and just made him money pjs and called it good. BUT...never fear Dad came to the rescue. Dave created and made Cameron's costume. I was VERY impressed and am planning on turning this responsibility over to him every year. Didn't he do great? By the way Cameron's head is supposed to be the head on the bill but he wouldn't let me paint him green. I even had green makeup and hairspray but Cameron wouldn't go for it.
Here we have Belle and Angelina ballerina. The girls chose their costumes but they would have been happy with anything as long as they got to wear dark red lipstick. They looked precious and I was just glad they actually let me do their hair.
