Go USA

We love the Olympics at our house.  One of my favorite quotes from Cameron was several years ago when I made him go to bed during the opening ceremonies of the winter Olympics and he said "All this going to bed is getting in the way of my Olympic watching time."  Classic Cameron.  We have a tradition that started when Cameron was almost three during the Winter Olympics in Italy where we make the Olympic rings out of M&Ms.  This year I didn't have the M&Ms (give me a break we were out of town) when the Olympics started and I swear I thought my kids were going to have a breakdown.  As soon as we got back from Utah we headed straight to the store for M&Ms and they got busy on their rings.
This is what the final (before eaten) project looks like.  Cute huh?  They love to do this.  Cameron added a London 2012 with the Orange M&Ms but the girls opted to eat theirs.  A little Elmers never hurt anyone...did it?
Cameron is a meticulous statistician and every time the Olympics roll around I know I will need a ream of paper and a mountain of crayons for that boy.  Don't believe me?  Ask him the final score of just about any game or match and he will give it to you.  I probably let him watch too much but come on the Olympics only roll around every few years.  Plus...we have an arrangement now where he has to do 30 minutes (at least) on the wii fit before he can watch.  Awesome.  My kitchen is buried under his papers for two weeks and there are crayons EVERYWHERE.  Dave reminds me to take deep breaths and I just go with it.
This is Clara showing respect to the western culture of the United States.
and this is her showing her respect for Lauryn right before they soaked my camera in water and even after four days in rice I am limited to the camera on my iphone.  LOVE those girls.

I tried to remember your olympic ideas so we did rings out of skittles and glued them with frosting. It was messy, but fun.
