Clara learned to ride a bike. Dave helped her about three times. She was cruising. She is a daredevil and tries to jump off of everything.
We went to the Rock Canyon Christian Church to see Bethany Hamilton speak. She got her arm bit off by a shark. The kids were really excited. They love Bethany Hamilton. Cameron has read her book and the kids love to watch Soul Surfer. She is a great example of faith and courage.
Cameron was determined to meet her so without telling anyone he went to wait for her by the back door. We ended up looking for him for close to an hour. I was a wreck. I thought I was going to throw up. It turns out that she had left even before the service ended so he was never going to see her. Poor boy. I was sobbing when we finally found him and he said to me. "Mom, what are you so worried about? I knew where I was the whole time." I guess I shouldn't have been worried then.
Cameron had his home recital and I took a ton of video but no pictures. DANG IT! Cameron requested multi colored home made oreos for the dessert. They turned out great. He loves playing the piano. He practices without being asked and sometimes will practice several times a day. He loves picking apart music and learning about composition. His teacher wants him to start on a composing program. He is such a great little kid. He cracks me up. Last week we had his IEP. For the first time they had no concerns. It was amazing. He is doing so great. He still has little hang ups and he still gets in trouble but he is learning and he is trying so hard. I am so proud of him. I love him to pieces.
Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. We were so happy to have them here for Cameron's recital. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to take a picture of "grandma candy". Every time we are with Grandma the kids get Grandma candy. She gives them a little cup with little candies in it. She has been doing this since the beginning of time and even the grown up married grand kids still want their grandma candy. It is a great tradition and my kids always look forward to their grandma candy.
