Memorial Day brings on camping at Pine Valley. We always look forward to this camping trip. It is a beautiful location and we go with several families from our ward. The past few years it has been FREEZING including waking up to snow one morning. This year the weather was perfect.
We pulled in on Friday afternoon. Dave was working on the cabin and so the kids helped me set up our tent and Lauryn made sure the doll's shoes were all in order outside the tent. Our friends bring their dog, Zoey.
The kids love to fish and play in the Lake.
This post is because I was always collecting rocks. Lauryn is no different. she collected and washed rocks several times a day.
This is as close as we got to a horse.
We went into town to get some ice-cream.
The kids fished for hours. They hadn't stocked the lake so nobody caught anything. When I say nobody, I mean nobody on the whole lake. They apparently were going to stock it on Monday. Bad planning on someones part.
we didn't care...we fished anyway...
I thought the pitch running on this log was beautiful.
Lauryn made a few hot pads.
Clara learned to long board...sort of...
Cameron always spends the majority of his time playing cribbage with the Drewes family. I think this is his favorite part of camping.
we made about 5 batches of popcorn every night.
who needs fish when you have night crawlers.
This is the view from the campground. Beautiful...
Cameron was totally bummed that there were no fish. He even had his own fishing pole this year. We will go again this summer. Better luck next time...
