Grandad's Wake

No my Dad didn't die.  At least not physically.  A few months ago my Dad announced his retirement.  He has spent the last 40+ years coaching, teaching, and guiding kids.  His latest assignment has been as the principal at Timpview High School.  A big reception was thrown for him at the school and many people came from the school and the community to bid him farewell.  I think we as his family are most excited to have more time with Grandad.  I love my dad.  I am so thankful for the career path that he chose.  I grew up on ball fields and was able to spend time with my Dad while he was at work.  Not many girls can say that.  I know as much about sports as most men and when it came time for me to start looking for a husband I had a bit of an advantage because I don't whine during football season.  I count down the days until it starts again (three more months). My heart is full when I think of all that I have learned from my Dad over the years.  That will all have to come in a later post.  For now...we'll just focus on the party.
I actually had my kids wear Timpview shirts.  This is a sacrifice for me but a tribute to my Dad since I went to the rival high school across town.
Cameron would make a great T-bird mascot
This is Cameron celebrating after Grammy and Grandad announce that they will be taking everyone to Disneyland to celebrate my Dad's retirement.  We can hardly wait.
My sister-in-law is a dancer.  She gave the girls their own private fairy tale ballet class.  They chose to do Ariel.
How amazing are these dresses?
Not as amazing as these little girls!

These four girls play so well together.  They are going to have some great time over the years.  I love the way Ava is looking at Clara in this picture.  I think they will all be a great support to each other as they grow up.  The morning after we got home Clara woke up crying because she missed Ava.  I love it.
Strike a pose...
I wish I could bottle this
Thankfully the weather was warm enough to "help" grandad in the yard and to play in the sprinklers.

I can't wait for you guys to come. Baylie is always so lonely after we've been together and then she's back on her own.

Congratulations to your daddy! He is an amazing man even if he was the principal for the ENEMY. HAHAHA
