melatonin

I always knew that I wanted twins and not triplets but every once in a while I catch some insight as to why I am grateful I didn't have triplets.  Yesterday the subject of my insight was this...

For those of you who are unfamiliar with melatonin it is a natural hormone that our bodies produce that helps our bodies regulate sleep.  I just bought a bottle of 100 1mg tablets to use to help Cameron shut down at night.  I have not yet had to used  (or opened) it because he has been sleeping great.  Well,  on Fridays I watch another little three year old girl. Shame on me for deciding to take a shower with three three year olds in the house.  I had put a movie on and therefore thought I was safe. What a surprise when I got out of the shower to find these little angels eating a bowl of white pills.  At first I thought it was aspirin and my thought was 'how do I tell someone I am rushing their kid to the hospital to have their stomach pumped?'  When I realized what the pills were I counted what was left.  46 of the 100 pills already gone.  The dose is one pill at a time not to exceed three a day.  My neighbor called poison control for me while I ran to pick two more girls up from Kindergarten.  Poison Control said not to worry but to have me call them myself to give ages and weights.  When I called, they actually laughed.  They said to have them drink water and let them sleep it off.  I took them to the park to keep them active.  Do you know what my night would have been like if I would have had girls sleeping all day?  Needless to say I had three glossy eyed sleepy girls at my house yesterday afternoon.

Baylie ate half a bottle of Tums. I freaked out and called Poison Control. They told me it would just give her gas.
