12 days of Christmas

A long time ago my Dad started doing the twelve days of Christmas to my Mom.  I always thought this was such a fun tradition.  Sometimes the presents are small sometimes they are big.  My brothers have all adopted this tradition in their marriages as well.  I hinted that Dave should do it for me but he clearly wasn't catching on   so I decided that since it is my families tradition I should be doing it for him.  I have done the twelve days of Christmas to Dave now for about 7 years.  Often the gifts I give him are just toys for the kids or maybe a CD that I really want (:  but it is fun and there are always pistachios and good n plentys involved somewhere.  This year I was making my tags to go on each gift when Cameron asked if I could do the 12 days of Christmas for him.  I told him I loved him very much but the 12 days was for my true love.  He thought about that for a minute and then asked if he could do the 12 days for Lauryn and Clara.  My heart melted.  I took him straight to the dollar store where we came up with 12 days of gifts for the girls.  Each day Cameron has given them a gift.  His tags say, on the first, second, etc. day of Christmas I gave to my twins... He is so excited each morning to give the girls their presents.  It didn't take long for them to realized that Cameron was giving them a gift each day.  They can hardly stand it if they wake up before him and they have to wait.  I think we just added a new dimension to this family tradition.
