You may or may not know that the last day of school is one of my most favorite days of the year. I love having my kids at home all day. I know to some it seems crazy but that is just the way I like it. We sleep in. We stay in our jammies. We swim ALL day long. We snuggle on the couch and eat lots of sno cones. This year we have found a recipe for slurpees. I foresee many of those over the next few months. Most of all I just love the down time with no rushing around from school to practice to lessons etc.
This year Cameron had an amazing teacher. She was a huge blessing to him. Her name is Ms. Perone. She pushed Cameron in so many ways. I am sure at times he pushed he as well. She was very patient and consistent. We loved her. Some of his favorite things were GATE and earning a trip to the adventuredome. Cameron made the honor roll every trimester. He works hard and he loves to learn new things.Every year we do something super fun on the last day of school. This year we had a "welcome to summer" party and invited friends from the neighborhood. We had a great time. The kids were super excited to make signs and decorate.
The girls started panicking and just knew that no one would show up.
They were wrong. We had such a great time. We are so lucky to have such great friends and neighbors to play with. Now...to relax and breathe....OK after we get back from Utah...
