In June I put Cameron on an airplane to Utah so he could go to EFY. He had a great time at EFY last summer and was not as excited to go this year because he had already been there. BUT....
he ended up in the same group with one of his best friends, Shelby Nebeker. These two have grown up together and known each other since they were about 6. Our families are like family. Just by chance we picked the same session.
He loved his group and had just as much fun if not more fun than last summer. He roomed with his friend Josh Downey. He told me he could feel the spirit so strong. I am glad he was able to have this experience.
Meanwhile the girls and I headed up to Mt. Charleston to Camp Stimpson for girl's camp. We were afraid the weather was going to be bitter cold but it was actually really nice.
The girls have so many darling friends in our ward and they made a lot of new friends too.
I was in the kitchen working as a cook. That didn't leave much downtime but I was able to sneak a picture with this cute kid. One of the reasons I kept the girls back when they started Kindergarten was so that they wouldn't go to camp when they were 11. Well....God has other plans and they went to camp at 11 anyway. With the changes in the youth program this year the girls became eligible for girl's camp. The had a great time.
There was rock climbing. Lauryn loves rock climbing so she was happy about this.
Go Clara go
This is a game called gaga ball...I think....the girls first played this at Pali and they love it.
There is a zip line.
Gotta be safe with that helmet.
and the harness
There was a lip sync night. The girls did Queen's 'we will rock you'. They definitely rocked.
While Cameron was at EFY with his friend, Josh, The girls were at camp with Josh's sister, Savannah.
There was a hike day.
lots of good food. I can say it was good because I helped cook it. Sarah Bogh was the cook and Whitney Lloyd was her assistant. I was a helper that did whatever I was told. I love being that person.
I was in charge of theme nights and it was really fun.Hanging
There is an archery range. The girls both loved this. Clara said she was terrible but Lauryn was pretty good.
On the last night the stake presidency brought up dippin dots. This was a big treat for the girls.
We had all gone our different ways so after I picked Cameron up from the airport we all went to sonic for shakes. I am glad that everyone had such a fun adventure but I love it most when we are all back together.
