2022 fall and winter

suddenly our lives revolve around volleyball.  The girls had a great freshman season

The Nebekers came to almost every game.

We were so worried about our girls being the only under classmen on the team.  I was worried the girls would be jealous and not treat them well.  I could not have been more wrong.  This was the best group of girls.  They loved on Lauryn and Clara and cheered them on like crazy.  Every time one of them did something they would chant "she's a freshman".  It was so cool.  At one game the other team got so sick of hearing it that they started chanting "we don't care"  (:  So funny

We love going to the BYU games.  We have had the same seats forever so now the kids who go up to BYU come and find us.  We always love a visit from Brooke Adair.

The girls and I took a late season trip to Tuachaan.  I think we saw Mary Poppins but I can't remember. 

We love the fall but it is so hot in Vegas it doesn't feel like fall.  We started a tradition where every year we go to a farm and buy tons of pumpkins so our yard can look like New England.  It's still hot in vegas so we get up and go as early as we can so it feels a little fallish.  We get cider and donuts.  It's such a fun little tradition for the girls.  

Football season.  We love it when the cougars come to town and we don't have to travel.

Clara performed with Zions Youth Symphony and Chorus.  Lauryn didn't want to do it this time. I don't remember what show they performed.

we headed to Utah for Thanksgiving so that Cameron didn't have to take time off of work.  We were able to do baptisms one morning with Grammy and Grandad.  We love going to the temple

The girls and I went on a shopping trip to Park City.  They had never been before.  It's such a fun place to visit during the holidays. 

Then we met the boys in Salt Lake and had dinner and visited temple square

Cameron has been working at Mo'Bettahs.  It's Hawaiian plate food and it is delicious

I love my ward book club.  This was our Christmas pajama book club. 

we waited for Cameron to get home to visit the Bellagio at Christmas.  

Every year we host a Christmas Eve dinner.  It started out with us and the Sorenson family.  Then when Dave became Bishop the Nebekers joined us and we started inviting people who had nowhere to go.  Now we host about 30-35 people every year.  It is followed by the kids doing a polar plunge.  We don't have any family in Vegas but we have friends who feel like family.  I am so thankful for them.

We took off to see Grandma and Grandpa right after Christmas.  We don't see them enough.  All the grandkids have been obsessed with this dumb fish pillow all of their lives.  It is the funniest thing.

Our stake was in charge of the New Years Eve dance.  I am the stake young womens president so this was stressful for me but it turned out awesome 

we had a balloon drop that had lights in the balloons.  The kids loved it.
