I am not sure why but for some reason I had the idea to run a marathon for my 51st birthday. Never in my life have I had a desire to run a marathon. I trained for about 5 months. It was hard. I had to go on a lot of long runs. Dave would drive me up into red rock canyon and I would run home. Titan was the best training buddy. He went on all of my runs with me. Some of my training runs were 18 miles. He was so fun to train with. The race started at Mt. Charleston. It was 27 degrees at the start and 80 degrees at the finish. It was the hardest thing I have ever done physically.

Dave found me a trophy. It says number one linebacker or something like that.
Lauryn made me a cake. She always makes the cutest cakes.
The dog acts like he has never been fed in his whole life.
the girls both passed their written exams on the first try and so now they think they are ready to drive.
as soon as Dave gets out of bed the dog takes over his place. He loves to lay where people have just been. Probably because it is warm and maybe because he can smell them.
So many volleyballs
The girls have played in Arizona and Reno and Salt Lake City.
Noah Jennings got married the same weekend the girls were playing in Utah so they had a huge fan club. It was so fun to have so many of our family members there to watch them.
I am not sure when we found time but somewhere in the midst of the chaos we went on a hike up at Red Rock.
Titan is in heaven
Sometimes our tournaments line up with the girls friends.
This is some of the girls who played on Lauryn and Clara's high school team during their Freshman year. They came and found them at a tournament to cheer them on.
Winner Winner. The girls won their tournament.
I worked hard to lay these pavers so we could have a better area for our fire pit. I love how it turned out.
Another tournament win.
Because of Volleyball it has gotten harder to get up to Pine Valley. I think we made it for one night
The girls played at Nationals in Florida. They were also invited to play with the older team so we headed to Florida for two weeks.
They did so much better than I thought they would. They stayed in the Gold bracket until the last day.
