Lauryn and Clara turned 16. We weren't going to do anything crazy for them but at the last minute we decided every 16 year old needs a surprise. We invited a bunch of their friends over. We were going to have a pool party and backyard BBQ but it rained all day long. I was so sad but I should have known that these teens would make the best of it. They went and played in the greenbelt and then jumped in the pool fully clothed. The party ended up being way more fun than anything we would have planned.
They were all freezing so I made hot chocolate and they all got warm by the fire.
Lauryn and Clara are spoiled and Dave got them a car for their birthday
They were totally surprised and so excited.
They went to cheesecake factory with their best friends.
Happy sweet 16 to this dream team. They are incredible girls and so much to raise. They are funny and kind and smart and driven and I love watching them take on the world.
