Cancun 2022

Most foreign countries were still shut down for travel.  Mexico was open so we decided to go to Cancun.  Lauryn tested positive for Covid exactly 10 days before we were leaving.  This was a little stressful because I was worried about travel restrictions.  Thankfully all of the covid testing to get in to Mexico ended the week before we left.  

Cancun was beautiful.  We stayed in a hotel that was right on the beach.

There was a super good restaurant across the street from where we stayed.  We ate here twice.  

The skies were so beautiful. 

We visited the ruins in Tulum. 

And the pyramids.  I was so interested in these ancient places.  I kept thinking of the Book of Mormon and the history of this place. 

We swam in a Cenote.  It was such a cool experience.  So beautiful.

Every night we would go for a walk on the beach. 

We visited Xplor.  It's basically an underground water tunnel and adventure park.  It was so much fun. 

We explored and swam through these really cool caves.  I thought I would be claustrophobic but I was fine. . 

They had cameras set up everywhere so you could take pictures and not have to worry about getting your own camera wet. 

There was one place where we rode in this ATVs through the jungle. 

There was also a cafeteria for lunch.  It was all you can eat and was included in the cost of admission.  The food was really good and we were stuffed.  

We zip lined over the jungle and into some water. 

I love that my family is adventurous.  They are all risk takers and love to try new things.  We always have so much for together.
